痩せたヒースランドが広がる。

池端にゴース(針金雀児、ハリエニシダ)の花が咲く。

花はココナッツのような芳香があり、コーディアル(シロップ)を作れるそうなので、
少々摘んできた。
Gorse flowers are made to be cordial.
I picked some to try.
この日は漁期最後の日。
保護団体のウェブサイトによるとミッチャムコモンにある3つの池の魚はどこか他に移してしまったとのことだが、
浮き釣りで小物を狙っている釣り人が何人かいて、魚影もそこそこある様子。
鯉の仕掛け(メソッド・フィーダーにボイリー)で挑んだがボウズ。
小物用の仕掛けなら何か釣れるかも。
It was the last day before the close season.
The website of the conservation body says that they have destocked the fish in the ponds.
I saw some float fishermen on one of them, with some signs of the presence of fish.
How ever my carp tackle was verdicted to be unsuccessful on this occasion.
