クレーン川を北西に釣り上がってみました。

小物の雑魚ばかりでしたが初めての魚種でしたので満足。

However tiny they are, I was satisfied to catch 2 new species today.

初ミノー。群が何度も餌のウジムシを突っつくがサイズ16のハリにもなかなかかからないほど小さい。

My First Ever Minnow. They were so tiny that I had hard time catching them even on maggots on size 16 hook.

初デイス。似た外見のチャブは背ビレと尻ビレは赤っぽく外側に弧を描いているのに対してデイスのそれはグレーもしくは白の半透明で、内側に弧を描いているのが特徴。

My First Ever London Dace.

They have concave dorsal and anal fins, which are greyish/whitish transparent in coulor, whereas similar looking Chub has reddish convex ones.
