今朝、自宅から徒歩圏内のオープン・スペース（緑地）に運動を兼ねて野草摘みに行ってきました。
今回の目当てはセイヨウイラクサ（西洋刺草）。
日本の山菜・アイコ（ミヤマイラクサ）の仲間。
３日ほどは楽しめる量の若葉を摘んで来ました。

今のところ２メートル以上の安全な対人距離を保っての一日一度の運動のための外出は推奨されています。
This morning,
in an attempt to kill two birds with one stone, I took a walk to an open space in my area.
The objectives; excercise and foraging the Stinging Nettle.
The plant is in the same family as Aiko or Miyama-irakusa, a popular sansai (edible wild plants) in Japan.
I picked a bagful, which should be enough for consumption over three days or so.

と言ってもこの植物はこの国では雑草のようなもので、至るところに生えています。
I found it, The Stinging Nettle!
...well, this plant in this country is one of the most common weeds, which can be found almost anywhere.
これは何でしょう？
葉を揉んでみるとシソのような、カラシのような美味しそうな香りが。
食用になるとは思いますが種を特定できず。採取は控えました。
This plant had an appetising aroma when I rubbed one of the leaves. Somewhere between Shiso and Mustard like scent... to be on the safe side I decided not to pick and eat it.
セイヨウタンポポ。天ぷらの具材になると聞いています。

区内の公園は全て閉鎖されたと聞いていましたが、ハマースミス・パークは開放されていました。
All the parks in the borough were said to have been closed.
However, Hammersmith Park was open.
